A Category 2 tropical cyclone is tracking towards the Northern Territory, threatening dangerous winds, flooding and isolation for remote communities.

Foodbank SA & NT has been activated by the NT Government as the primary provider of emergency food relief, and we are urgently deploying emergency food, drinking water and over 20 pallets of disaster relief hampers.

Many families were already struggling this Christmas — now this emergency means they may lose access to food altogether.
